Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur are among the challengers for the Premier League title this season.
Robertson believes that winning the title this campaign is not going to be easy as other teams have improved.
The Scotland international left-back believes that Tottenham are among the sides who have improved, and has also mentioned Chelsea and Leicester City as challengers for the title.
Robertson told Sky Sports: “I do think this season will be a lot tighter. I think teams have improved. You see Tottenham, you see Leicester, you see Chelsea, they have all improved so much.”
Facing challenge from Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from nine matches, level on points with second-placed Liverpool.
While it is only November, it is clear that Spurs are emerging as genuine challengers for the league title.
An argument could be made that Liverpool have a better squad and them picking up points despite injures to key players shows how strong they are, but in Jose Mourinho, Spurs have a serial winner who knows how to get the best out of his players.
It is going to be a very interesting title race this season, with Chelsea and Manchester City also aiming to win the league.
