There was a lot of excitement last summer when Dani Ceballos snubbed Tottenham Hotspur to join Unai Emery’s Arsenal. The Spaniard lit the Emirates up in his home debut against Burnley but he has failed to replicate the same kind of performance again.
Ceballos has been a regular in the last few games. The Real Madrid man will stay until the end of the season but his future beyond that is anybody’s guess.
He hinted in an interview with Goal last month that he might be willing to fight for his place under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid next season. (Read more here)
He was quoted by Onda Cero three weeks ago saying that he wants to succeed at the Santiago Bernabeu next season. (Read more here)
Marca claimed last week that Ceballos’ days at Arsenal are numbered and he will return to Madrid. It is unlikely that he will be a regular under Zidane, and Valencia are considering a move for him as a result.
Ceballos has now opened the door to stay in England
Real Betis have also been heavily linked with a move for Ceballos in recent weeks but the midfielder has now opened all the doors, claiming that he would even be open to staying in England.

He told Cadena Ser: “Next year I want to play and I will hardly be able to do so at Real Madrid. Betis? It is an option. I do not close the door to play for any club. I do not rule out continuing in the Premier (League).”
All the rumours surrounding Ceballos is really confusing. One day, a report claims that he wants to return to Spain while the next report claims that he will return to North London for another year.
Arsenal might be interested in signing Ceballos on another loan deal but there is little chance that they can afford to buy him permanently this summer considering their current financial situation.
