Roma boss Jose Mourinho has now slammed Tottenham Hotspur out of the blue.
The legendary manager was quoted by Fabrizio Romano, as he reflected on his time in charge of Spurs.
It’s safe to say that Jose Mourinho did not have many nice things to say about Tottenham Hotspur.
Jose Mourinho blasts Tottenham experience
Initially, the Portuguese coach seemed like the perfect man to ensure the London-based side get a taste of glory.
However, that was not to be, as the recruitment was sub-par, the players underperformed and Mourinho seemed out of his depth tactically.
As Jose Mourinho continues to turn heads at Roma, he has not held back when looking back on his time at Tottenham, two years on.

“Tottenham is the only club with which I do not have a close bond. Probably because the stadium was empty at the time of COVID and because President Levy didn’t let me play the final [Carabao Cup final against Manchester City] and win the trophy. But it’s the only club in my life”.
Jose Mourinho is certainly right about the Carabao Cup final
It was a surprise to see Daniel Levy take the decision to sack Jose Mourinho and appoint Ryan Mason as the interim boss, right before Tottenham faced Pep Guardiola’s side in the Carabao Cup final.
While Aymeric Laporte’s late winner might indicate that the 1-0 defeat to Spurs was actually a close contest, that could not be further from the truth.
Tottenham were utterly outclassed and one wondered why Levy did not just let a serial winner like Mourinho take charge of the side at least one last time for a final.
At the end of the day, Jose Mourinho’s spell at the club would have been deemed a success, in case he managed to end their trophy drought.
Unfortunately, the veteran did not have a chance to do so, as the club await their chance to finally add a new piece of silverware to their trophy cabinet.
