Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has revealed on the Lions Den that he likes to help Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka in England training.

Saka is one of the youngest members of the Three Lions’ squad for Euro 2020, alongside Jude Bellingham.

Henderson, meanwhile, is one of the more experienced members of the team.

And the Liverpool captain says that he has taken both Saka and Bellingham under his wing in training and in matches.

“They make me feel a lot older than what I am because they’re so young,” Henderson said, when asked about the young English pair.

“But I’m quite young at heart still so I do like messing around and having fun with them.

“I try to help them as much as I can, as I am a bit older than them.

“I try and help them as much as I can in training and even in games, but when we get back I’ll play basketball or cards with them. But I do like to help as much as possible.”

Unused substitutes

Both Henderson and Saka were not used by England in their opening game of the tournament.

However, Saka did his chances of featuring no harm by scoring in England’s pre tournament friendly.

The Arsenal man opened his international scoring account by finding the back of the net against Austria in a friendly.

Saka’s versatility makes him an important member of the England squad.

And he could be utilised as the tournament progresses, if Gareth Southgate wants to freshen up his side.
