Darren Bent has suggested on talkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could leave if the club do not win any trophies this season.
The former Tottenham striker, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, believes that Kane needs to be playing in the Champions League on a regular basis.
Bent said about Kane on talkSPORT: “At the moment he’s the complete package. But I do fear for Spurs a little bit. If they don’t win anything again this season and, as well as Harry Kane’s playing now, what does he do?
“Does he stay there again for the sake of it because he loves the club? Or does he go on to another level? Someone of that quality needs to be playing in the Champions League.
“If I was Harry Kane I’d probably give it one more year and see what happens. But the problem is we’ve been saying that for the last few years now, and really, if he wins the EFL Cup, is that going to be enough for him to say, ‘I like what Spurs are doing, I’m going to stay’?
“No! If the top crop, the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, come in for him, it’s not even a question. If they come in for him at the end of the season, you go.”

Could Harry Kane leave Tottenham Hotspur next summer?
Kane has been on the books of Tottenham his entire professional club football career so far and has established himself as a key figure in the team.
The England international is one of the first names on the teamsheet and leads by example on the pitch.
The 27-year-old has been a consistent goalscorer in the Premier League and is at the top of his game at the moment.
True, Kane has not won any major trophies for a while, but that could change under head coach Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho is a serial winner, and one suspects that the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager will be determined to win something big during his time at Tottenham.
Given that Kane has been at Spurs for so long and is adored and loved by the fans, it is hard to see him leave the North London club next summer.
