Bernardo Silva has claimed that Liverpool duo Mo Salah and Diogo Jota are ‘doing well’, along with Mason Mount of Chelsea, as he told Amazon Prime Sport.

The Manchester City midfielder shared that he could ‘say a few’ players who were the best in 2021, as he named the Liverpool and Chelsea trio, alongside his current teammate, Joao Cancelo.

Salah probably isn’t the best football player in Europe right now because he’s currently on a different continent.

But as Man City and Chelsea fans know too well, when he gets the ball at his feet, he will dance past anybody.

The Egyptian flyer has scored against both Liverpool’s title rivals this season, including a goal of the season contender at Anfield.

Either way, when Silva was asked about his best Premier League players from 2021, he dropped in Salah, Mount and Jota’s names.

“I could say a few,” said Silva. “Mason Mount is doing well, at the moment. Mo Salah and Jota at Liverpool are doing well.

“I think here at Man City we have a lot of players that are producing a great season. For instance, Cancelo is having an amazing season.

“There are a few, for me, it’s difficult to choose one when you have so many strong teams because one team is not made of one player or two.”

Ever since Jota swapped Wolves for Liverpool, the Portugal international has been like a lethal weapon inside the penalty area.

Glimpses of Ruud van Nistelrooy in his pomp, Jota has been ruthless in front of goal and pushed Roberto Firmino out of the first-team picture.

As for someone like Mount, he won the Champions League title in Chelsea colours last year, as well as narrowly missing out on European championship glory with England.

The Chelsea academy product may divide opinion regarding his ability, but he is always picked by his managers and he does have one of the biggest medals in world football around his neck.
