Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has said that he could have done better for the first goal that he conceded against Liverpool at Anfield tonight, as quoted on BBC Sport.
What’s the story?
Ramsdale conceded as many as four goals at Anfield this evening.
Liverpool beat Arsenal 4-0 in the Premier League game.
The England international made a number of saves and was arguably the best player for Arsenal.
However, the 23-year-old, who earns £63,000 per week (Salary Sport), felt that he could have done better for the first goal that he conceded.
It was in the 39th minute when Sadio Mane headed in Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free-kick.
The ball went just past Ramsdale.
What Aaron Ramsdale has said
The goalkeeper said, as quoted on BBC Sport: “I’ve not seen it back.
“It’s a very good header into the ground on a wet surface but I think I could do better.
“I pride myself on high standards and it’s one I need to look at and possibly improve in the future.”

Aaron Ramsdale should be proud
It is really encouraging to see Ramdale so self-critical.
But the 23-year-old need not be too harsh on himself.
The England international goalkepeer was brilliant against Liverpool.
If Ramsdale had not made the saves that he did, then Arsenal would have lost by a much bigger margin.
In our view, Ramsdale did well for Arsenal against Liverpool and was arguably the Gunners’ best player tonight.
