Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after a supporter posted some footage of Virgil van Dijk organising the backline last season.

In the 22-second footage, the Netherlands international can be seen absolutely screaming at one of his teammates in a match against Brighton.

With Liverpool leading 1-0 in the 90th minute, Van Dijk can be seen yelling at somebody – possibly Trent Alexander-Arnold – over on the right hand side of the pitch.

Why has this got Liverpool fans talking?

Well, some of them below have mentioned that these kind of ruthless organisational skills at the back make the ‘difference’ for Liverpool.

Without Van Dijk in the side, Jurgen Klopp’s men were coping quite well.

However, a run of three Premier League games without a win – the most recent of which saw Fabinho and Jordan Henderson at centre-back – has highlighted the Dutchman’s importance.

One supporter even said that they ‘could cry’ at the footage – it’s obvious that the Anfield faithful are having withdrawal symptoms from their colossal No.4.
