‘I can’t see us beating Villa’: Some Newcastle fans react to what they’re hearing from Villa Park

Newcastle fans aren’t optimistic even though Dean Smith has confirmed that Jack Grealish will be absent once again for Aston Villa on Friday.

Dean Smith told Aston Villa’s official Twitter account that ‘Grealish is a lot better’ but won’t be travelling to St James’ Park for tomorrow night’s game.

Villa have been without their expert-ball carrier for four Premier League matches – winning only one of those ties and that came against Leeds.

Whilst Grealish being absent should be seen as an advantage to those from Newcastle, their fans don’t see it that way because of their current form, worry about tactics and the man they have in the dugout.

Things aren’t exactly rosy in the garden for Newcastle, who are hovering above the relegation zone and seriously worrying about dropping into the bottom three.

Whilst Newcastle need to take advantage of Grealish’s absence, this is Villa’s massive opportunity to show that they can do the business without their playmaker.

They have already shown that is possible when they secured all three points at Leeds, and given that the boys in Claret & Blue are better on the road than at home, it’s enough incentive that another win is possible.
