The 20-year-old playmaker started Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague in the Europa League on Thursday night.
But Gunners boss Mikel Arteta brought him off after 88 minutes in North London.
And Arsenal’s official website revealed on Saturday evening that the Hale End product is suffering with an ankle problem and will need to be assessed before tonight’s game.
Smith Rowe has been yoyo-ing in and out of the team due to injury over the past month or so.
And with Martin Odegaard also injured, another absence for Smith Rowe could be problematic for Arsenal, particularly with their Europa League chances hanging in the balance.
