It looks like Tottenham Hotspur might be set to lose Juan Foyth.
According to El Dia, the Argentina international’s departure from Spurs is already ‘practically’ sealed.
Foyth has struggled at Tottenham since Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino back in November.
In fact, the 22-year-old has only managed 46 minutes of Premier League football under the Portuguese over the past six or seven months.
He was much more of a prominent member of Tottenham’s first-team squad under Pochettino.
And some fans of the North London club believe that a permanent sale could be a mistake. Here’s how they reacted to the speculation on Twitter:
The good news is that if Foyth goes out, Mourinho will probably be aiming to sign a better centre-back.
With Jan Vertonghen also set to leave, Tottenham can’t go into the 2020-21 campaign with just Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld as centre-half options.
If Foyth follows the Belgian out the door, reinforcements are guaranteed.
