Tony Cascarino told talkSPORT that he ‘cannot work out’ reported Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester City target Adama Traore.

The former Republic of Ireland striker stated that the Wolves powerhouse has ‘so much’ to his game, but he stands still and admires the game when the ball is on the other side, just like Mo Salah, Raheem Sterling and Sadio Mane do for their respective clubs.

Spanish outlet SPORT have claimed that Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester City are keen on Traore’s signature this month and those at Molineux want no less than £36 million for his services.

Cascarino shared his thoughts on Traore as a player and why he has mixed feeling about him.

“I cannot work out Adama Traore,” said Cascarino. “I cannot work him out because he’s got so much but to have one goal this season and he had six last season and he had a very indifferent second part of the season.

“And he’s standing so much that he will come alive from a standing start which he wants to beat people.

“But he’s standing when the ball is on the opposite side and you want your winger what Raheem Sterling does. Salah and Mane have done it for Liverpool.

“Many Man City players are doing it. Man United players are doing it as well. Standing and admiring the game on the other side of the pitch isn’t going to get you goals. And he’s doing it so often.”

Traore would be a deadly weapon for those in Europe to use and it would be a surprise if a team doesn’t put money down for his talents either this month or in the summer.

The former Barcelona academy product is also yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract, so that is perhaps an area the reported clubs could target.

Either way, whether Traore is in form or struggling to even get touches on the ball, he would still put fear into the opposition’s eyes.
