Speaking on The Overlap, Gary Neville has been speaking about Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane’s ongoing situation.
It feels like a long time ago now, but let’s not forget that this whole Kane saga started with an interview with Gary Neville, and now he’s given his view on the situation.
Neville believes that something must have happened behind the scenes to change Kane’s stance on his future.
What’s been said?
Neville shared what he thinks about Kane.
“I agree with the idea that you can’t turn up to training, you have to do your job. I also know Harry Kane, I worked with him for three years, he’s like a saint when it comes to football, he doesn’t do anything wrong in his life, doesn’t drink, he’s the most professional,” Neville said.
“So for him to get to this point, I can only imagine something behind the scenes has happened that has made him completely disrespect and go to these lengths. I don’t know what it is that’s annoyed him, I didn’t have a conversation with him saying ‘what’s happened?’ Everything he said he said on camera.”

Neville would know
There are very few men in football more qualified to give this verdict than Gary Neville.
The Sky pundit worked with Kane in the England set-up for a number of years, and of course, he played a now-infamous game of golf with Kane this summer.
Neville knows what it’s like to be around big names who want to leave a club in a dressing room, after all, he was at Manchester United when Cristiano Ronaldo left for Real Madrid, so if he’s saying this, there could be an element of truth to it.
Kane is a professional, so we’ll probably never find out what’s truly gone on, but it is an interesting situation to say the least.
