The West Ham United ace is a popular figure at the London Stadium.
Hammers ace Arthur Masuaku spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and opened up on the unique relationship that he shares with the club’s fans, admitting that it is something he is truly grateful for.
The 24-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm this season, with his swashbuckling displays down the left hand flank for West Ham.
He has been given a new lease of life under David Moyes, with the Scot utilising him in a more advanced role, and Masuaku has grabbed his opportunity with both hands.
He has become somewhat of a cult hero in east London, with the West Ham fans devoting many of their songs to the former Olympiacos ace.
Masuaku sat down for an exclusive interview with WHUFC.com, and expressed his gratitude for the support given to him on a weekly basis by the Hammers faithful:
“I can feel the crowd when I get the ball. As soon as I have the ball, they expect something from me. It’s a good feeling. It’s important for me to have this relationship with the fans because it means they like me and want something from me. Not many players are lucky enough to have this, so I’d like to thank them.”
Next up for West Ham is a huge clash with West Bromwich Albion at the London Stadium on Tuesday, and they will need the 24-year-old to be on top form, if they are to emerge from the contest victorious.
