Antonio Conte has heaped praise on Harry Winks and stated that he can ‘count on him’, as he shared in his post-match interview.
Tottenham thrashed Leeds United 4-0 at Elland Road and Conte claimed that Winks is a player who has a ‘great personality on the ball’.
It has been a drama-filled week for the north London club, from their stoppage-time win at Manchester City last Saturday to Conte’s meltdown after losing at Turf Moor.
It was only fitting that Spurs topped it off by going back the other way in Yorkshire and showing their fans that they are still in the top-four race.
One man that came into the XI against Leeds was Winks and this is what his manager had to say about him.
“Winksy is a player, I know that I can count on him,” said Conte.
“Every time I call him in the team, he has shown me great commitment and a great personality to play the ball.”

January signing Rodrigo Bentancur may well be injured, but he was brought in to add quality to a struggling Spurs midfield.
Winks would have felt that he was one of the players mostly under pressure because he has had a tough time of it, not just under Conte, but under the past few managers.
Whilst the Englishman’s form has been up and down, he is seemingly producing his best under Conte, albeit in an inconsistent fashion.
But with Bentancur and Oliver Skipp still in the treatment room, this is a big chance for the Spurs academy product to cement his place in the XI.
