Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that Eden Hazard will remain in his plans for next season despite interest from Newcastle United.

Speaking to the Spanish press via the Sun, the Italian coach revealed that the Belgian international will remain with Los Blancos next season despite rumours of a potential return to the Premier League this summer.

Sport reported in November that Newcastle were eyeing the possibility of bringing Hazard to the northeast. However, Ancelotti has quashed any chance of the former Chelsea attacker making a stunning switch from Madrid to Tyneside.

Ancelotti said when asked about Hazard’s future with Madrid: “Hazard is in our plans for the next season, I can confirm.”

The winger scored his first goal of the season earlier this week with Hazard bagging against Elche in the Copa del Rey. The attacker’s fitness has played havoc on what was meant to be a dream move to Madrid.

And with the forward earning a reported £416-a-week according to the Sun, it makes sense why there are already rumours of Hazard potentially leaving Madrid, with Newcastle seemingly a destination for the attacker.

Hazard’s time with Madrid has been a frustrating and heartbreaking one to see given how good the former Premier League superstar was for Chelsea. Yet Ancelotti’s recent comments clearly suggest that the Italian has far from given up with the winger.

Indeed, Newcastle would have been a left-field move for Hazard given his star quality. Yet it appears that the forward has been given a second chance at Madrid to make amends after a disastrous few seasons with the club.
