Ryan Edmondson has responded brilliantly to a football fan who claimed on Twitter that he hated Leeds United.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side effectively ensured Premier League promotion by beating Barnsley 1-0 at Elland Road last night.
In doing so, Leeds re-established their six-point cushion in the automatic promotion and with only six more points on offer this season, the West Yorkshire club look like they’re going up.
The Whites aren’t the most popular club among neutral supporters and one Huddersfield Town fan claimed on Twitter that he hates the Elland Road side ‘with a passion’.
And here’s how academy marksman Edmondson responded to the upset fan:
This is a class response from Edmondson; partially because it shows that he deeply cares about Leeds.
The 19-year-old could be forgiven for being a little frustrated, having not made a senior appearance for the club in almost two years.
He might be particualrly disappointed over that because Bielsa hasn’t always had a lot of strikers available – like now after Jean-Kevin Augustin – and yet he hasn’t brought Edmondson back.
But one of Leeds’ mottos is ‘side before self’ and this tweet epitomises that.
