Speaking on the Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin YouTube channel, Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has been discussing Christian Eriksen’s future.

The Danish midfielder has been linked with a return to Tottenham for quite some time now, but according to Bridge, the player has told him that a deal won’t be happening.

According to the journalist, he had a chat with Eriksen off-camera about a potential return to Spurs, and while the journalist begged the 30-year-old to return to north London, Eriksen told him that he’s going to be disappointed.

What’s been said?

Bridge spoke about his chat with Eriksen.

“I think there was an offer there, but I don’t know how big of an interest there was. I’ll let you in on something, I did a Q&A for the Brentford end of season player awards and one of the players was Eriksen. Off-camera I begged him to come to Tottenham and he said to me ‘look, you’re going to be disappointed’,” Bridge said.

Where will he go?

It looks like Eriksen won’t be going to Tottenham, but the question still remains, where will he end up?

Manchester United and Leeds have both been linked with the former Inter man, and, in all honesty, it looks like United could be the frontrunners for his signature this summer.

Eriksen is certainly worthy of playing for a top six club, and with United reportedly very keen, Old Trafford could be his next destination.

This is a situation worth keeping tabs on as multiple Premier League sides continue to monitor Eriksen.
