Cenk Tosun has revealed that Everton paid for first-team physiotherapist Carl Howarth to accompany him on his summer break to Turkey following his serious injury.
Everton’s official website quote the Turkey international as saying: ‘I asked Marcel if I could have a physio with me when I went to Turkey for my summer break.
‘Everton paid for Carl’s flights and accommodation and we worked for three or four hours every day. They didn’t need to do that. It was a sign of how much the Club cares for me.’
It’s nice to see that the Toffees went the extra mile to take care of the former Besiktas striker, despite the injury happening while he was away from the club on loan at Crystal Palace.
Tosun netted once in five appearances for the Eagles during his loan spell, and while it looked like his career at Goodison Park was faltering, he now has an excellent chance to rejuvenate it.

The £60,000-a-week forward (Spotrac) could potentially see a lot of action over the next few weeks.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men face a gruelling schedule involving nine games in 42 days, starting with the trip to Fulham next Sunday.
After Moise Kean and Theo Walcott left Merseyside in the summer, Tosun is the only man available to deputise for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison.

Seeing as Ancelotti surely won’t want to burn those two out, the Turkish marksman could get a decent amount of minutes under his belt.
If he wants to stay at Everton for the long-term, it feels imperative that he grabs this potential opportunity with both hands.
