Tony Adams has said that he is worried about Leeds United getting relegated this season, as per his comments to Stadium Astro.
Leeds have generally impressed since earning promotion, and have claimed 11 points from their first nine games.
Leeds thoroughly outplayed Arsenal yesterday, but could only manage to pick up a 0-0 draw.
And Adams is concerned that the result could come back to haunt them, as he feels that Leeds will tire towards the end of the season.
“They need to be out of the bottom three and have points on the board by the time February and March comes, because they play at such a high tempo,” Adams said.
“He [Bielsa] will be kicking himself today that he didn’t take the three points, while they’re fresh. They have to take so many chances to convert it.
“I am worried. Teams that have come into the league – Bournemouth come to mind – and try play, play, play have gone down.
“But he can’t change this style now. He can’t change it mid-season. He needs to persevere and get the points in the bag before the fatigue sits in.
“You don’t want to be in a dog fight later on in the season with this squad of players.”
At the moment Leeds are well clear of the drop, as they have already put eight points between themselves and West Bromwich Albion.
Leeds have tired in the latter stages of the season under Bielsa before, with their 2018/19 campaign the best example of that.
Leeds will argue that the demands of playing a Championship campaign are far greater than a Premier League one though, due to the increased amount of fixtures.
Bielsa’s men are next in action when they take on Everton at Goodison Park.
