Chris Sutton has made his prediction about the title decider between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

The general consensus is that whichever team triumphs will go on to win the title at the end of the season.

As every fan and pundit has given their prediction about whether Manchester City or Arsenal will come out on top, Chris Sutton has had his say.

Chris Sutton makes Manchester City vs Arsenal prediction

Last time around, Pep Guardiola’s side bossed Mikel Arteta’s men at the Emirates Stadium in a 3-1 victory.

While City ended up throwing away the importance of that win with a draw against Nottingham Forest soon after, they enter the upcoming fixture as favourites.

Chris Sutton has backed Manchester City to do the business once again, as he expects Arsenal to suffer a 3-1 defeat in his prediction for the heavyweight battle.

“I am very confident with my prediction for this game, the only thing I wasn’t sure about was whether Arsenal would score. The Gunners are playing this match at one of the worst possible moments because City have found their rhythm and are hitting some incredible form.”

“I really hope Arsenal are brave and take the game to City because the Gunners’ attack is their strength, but in many ways that will play into the home side’s hands”, he wrote for BBC Sport.

“Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, on his return to the Etihad Stadium will all carry a threat but we have seen how vulnerable they are at the back in the past few weeks, and how on earth do you stop Erling Haaland and co?

“If, say, Nathan Ake is out injured then that will hamper City a bit. But I still see Pep Guardiola’s side really dominating the game, and they are absolutely relentless when they come forward.”

Much like Chris Sutton, it feels like virtually every prediction sees Manchester City beating Arsenal for the third time this season.
