Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Duncan Castles has shared why Tottenham are yet to announce Paulo Fonseca as their new manager.
It’s no secret that Fonseca has been in talks with Spurs with a view to becoming their new boss, and Castles believes that the deal to bring him to north London has been concluded.
What’s been said?
Castles claims that Fonseca has agreed to become Tottenham’s new manager, but the club are waiting to announce his arrival until they’re able to announce Fabio Paratici’s new job as Director of Football at Spurs.
“Fabio Paratici has agreed and will be named as the man in charge of the football department at Tottenham. The hold up, I’m told, on Fonseca being announced is because Tottenham want to announce Paratici’s appointment either before or simultaneously with a manager, but I am told that both of those are now concluded,” Castles said.

Double announcement incoming
Big announcements are like busses, you wait ages for one and then two come along at once.
We’ve been waiting ages for Tottenham to announce their new gaffer, and now it seems as though they’ll announce a Director of Football and a manager at the same time.
This double appointment will mark a new era in Tottenham’s history, and we can only hope that the pairing of Paratici and Fonseca will finally find the winning formula that can bring some silverware to Tottenham.
