Fabrizio Romano has said on The Arsenal Lounge that Inter Milan will not sell reported Arsenal target Achraf Hakimi.
The well-known and well-respected journalist, who works for The Guardian and SkySport, has said that although Inter are struggling financially, they could get new owners and will not sell him.
Romano has added that the 22-year-old full-back earns €4.5 million (£3.91 million) per season after tax, which is huge for Arsenal, especially if they are unable to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The Telegraph reported last month that Arsenal and Chelsea want to sign Aouar from Inter in the summer of 2021.
Romano said on The Arsenal Lounge: “I am told that Inter won’t sell him. He is having an amazing season. Okay, Inter are struggling from an economical point of view, but probably they will change the ownership in the next weeks, so they will go for a new board. Everything will change.”
The Italian journalist added: “He is having a big salary too. Don’t forget about salaries. He is having like €4.5 million (£3.91 million) per season after taxes net, so it’s a big one for Arsenal.”

Achraf Hakimi to Arsenal?
Inter are flying in Serie A and could end up wining the Scudetto, and it is hard to see the 22-year-old leave for Arsenal, unless, of course, the Nerazzurri decide that they cannot afford to keep him and need the money.
After all, the Gunners are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title for a while, and Mikel Arteta’s side may not play even in the Europa League next season.
According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old has scored six goals and provided four assists in 28 Serie A games and provided one assist in five Champions League matches for Arsenal this season.
