Fabrizio Romano has said on The Arsenal Lounge that there is nothing advanced between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid over Hector Bellerin.
Marca reported this week that Atletico are interested in signing Bellerin from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The La Liga champions are looking for a new right-back in case Kieran Trippier decides to leave.
The Spanish club could sell Trippier to Manchester United to fund a move for Bellerin or propose a swap deal with Arsenal.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has said that Atletico are happy with former Tottenham Hotspur right-back Trippier, and that there is nothing advanced.
Romano said about Bellerin on The Arsenal Lounge: “I am told that with Atletico Madrid at the moment, there is nothing advanced.
“There are rumours about the possibility of Trippier leaving Atletico Madrid this summer and they are looking for a new right-back, but I am told that Atletico Madrid at the moment they are happy with Trippier.
“They have no intention to sell Trippier. So at the moment there will nothing advanced with Hector Bellerin.”

Romano added on the same show that Bellerin will leave Arsenal this summer.
It seems that it is just a matter of time before the 26-year-old Spain international right-back finds a new club.
The right-back has been at Arsenal his entire professional club football career so far.
Bellerin has not been at his best in recent times, and perhaps a change of club would help him get back to his best.
Should Arsenal accept a swap deal involving Trippier?
Absolutely.
The England international right-back is a very good and experienced player who was a success at Burnley and Tottenham.
