Folarin Balogun has already committed himself to Arsenal once this week [BBC Sport].

But now, the 19-year-old striker has done it again in a more sentimental way.

On Monday, Arsenal announced that the highly-rated hitman had signed a new long-term contract.

This is considered a big coup for Arsenal when you consider the fact that he was a couple of months away from leaving the club for free.

But Balogun, a Hale End academy product, has committed his future to the Emirates Stadium side.

And on Tuesday, he offered another example of his affection for the club.

Prior to Mikel Arteta’s training session at London Colney, Balogun was photographed kissing the club’s badge and here’s how some fans of the club reacted to the gesture on Twitter:

Arsenal’s long-term striking options are a little uncertain, which makes this even more a coup.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang turns 32 in June, Alexandre Lacazette could reportedly quit the club and there’s doubts over whether Eddie Nketiah is good enough of a goalscorer to succeed in the long term.

Nketiah has only managed five Premier League goals in 38 top-flight appearances for Arsenal.

And although he’s still only 21, there’s little evidence that he’s lethal enough up front to lead the line for a club like this.

You could argue that there’s no evidence Balogun is good enough, having not even made his Premier League debut yet.

But this is a player who Liverpool were reportedly looking at and therefore you have to assume that he’s a very exciting prospect.

And it’ll be very interesting to see if he can fulfill his potential next term and beyond.
