Rasmus Kristensen has told BBC Sport that that he is “not happy” with his start to the season at Leeds United – stating that he only “satisfied”. The right-back has had his criticism since joining Leeds from RedBull Salzburg in the summer.
Kristensen, 25, was one of nine new signings at Elland Road in the summer. Like Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams, he has previously worked with Leeds boss Jesse Marsch – at Salzburg. He started the season as first-choice right-back.
But with Luke Ayling returning to fitness and Kristensen’s form questionable, the race is on to establish himself. He did start over Ayling and Cody Drameh last time out during the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa – coming off after 68 minutes.
Asked by BBC Sport reporter Adam Pope what he thought about his own form this season, the Denmark international responded. While he is satisfied, he believes he can offer more going forward – summing up that he is “not happy”.
“I think my form has been solid. We have played well. Some games defensively, we have had massive results. I would like to be more active going forward. I am Satisfied, but I am not happy,” Kristensen told BBC Sport.

It is a good stance from Kristensen. If you asked most Leeds fans what they thought of Kristensen, many would reply by saying they like his aggressive style of play. But they will be disappointed he is yet to replicate his Salzburg form.
Compared to other new signings that are also starting – the likes of Marc Roca, Tyler Adams, Brenden Aaronson and Luis Sinisterra – he has probably been the worst. But that is more because of the impressive form of those four.
Kristensen is likely to get the nod against Palace on Sunday, given that his best performance arguably came last time out before being taken off. With every game, he is growing stronger.
