Carlo Ancelotti stated that he is ‘not going to ask’ Everton duo Cenk Tosun and Jonjoe Kenny if they are talking to other clubs, as he told his press conference.
Between them, both Tosun and Kenny have played 120 minutes of Premier League football for Everton this season.
Rumours have been circulating that there is interest for their services and they could be heading for the Goodison Park exit door before Monday’s deadline.
The Mirror’s print edition (27/12/20, page 69) claimed that Sam Allardyce is eager to bring Tosun to West Brom, whilst the Sunday Mirror print edition (24/01/21, page 67) reported that the Toffees are pricing Kenny out of a move to Burnley.
Ahead of Everton’s home clash against Leicester tonight, Ancelotti was asked to share his thoughts on Kenny and Tosun’s future.
“I don’t know if they are talking with other teams,” said Ancelotti. “Until they are here, I treat them like our players. They are our players.
“We will see if they can find or if they are talking with other teams. I am not going to ask if they are talking. Until they talk to me, and until now, they didn’t talk to me.”

It’s quite clear that both players aren’t going to be part of Ancelotti’s long-term plans, but having that squad depth until the end of the season doesn’t hurt the Toffees.
But just like last January, it seems as though Everton aren’t going to dip into the winter market, which isn’t exactly known for its success rate.
The key thing for Everton is that, unlike some clubs, they don’t need to buy players this month, so they know that there won’t be that sense of panic or rush if they do bring someone in.
