‘I am made up’: Some Liverpool fans react to news coming from Everton

Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that Everton’s plans to develop a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock have been approved by the government.

Everton posted on their official website that they have been given the green light to build their new 52,000-seater stadium and start the road to leave Goodison Park, which has been their home since 1892.

A selection of Liverpool supporters have seen the positive side to this news and how it will benefit those on Merseyside.

From creating new jobs, becoming stronger financially and increasing tourism, it all benefits those within the city.

Of course, Liverpool fans will rib their rivals that this is the most they have shouted about in recent years because of their lack of trophies since the turn of the millennium, but this potential move is all about trying to take the club to the next level.

Carlo Ancelotti was brought in for one reason, and one reason only, to get the Toffees back into Europe and adding trophies into their cabinet once again.

The Merseyside derby has tension, spice and drama to it already, but if both teams can be competing near the top in the long run then all of that would only intensify.
