Newcastle United are eagerly awaiting to see what the 2024 summer transfer window cooks up for them.
Eddie Howe has done a pretty good job at St James’ Park following his arrival in 2021 and he hit his biggest stumbling block last season.
Non-stop injuries didn’t help matters, but everyone associated with Newcastle, especially their Saudi-led ownership, just want to spend freely and help take the club to the next level.
Instead, they have to listen to rumours and reports that key players might have to be sold to comply with certain rules.
Those much-hated words Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and Financial Fair Play (FFP) are proving to be a massive headache.
Sources have told HITC that Newcastle have received interest in their star player Alexander Isak, but they have no intentions to sell.
Tony Cascarino spoke about ‘hearing’ about interest in Isak and how fans are ‘concerned’ that they could lose such a key player, as he told talkSPORT.
Even if Newcastle have to sell players, you feel certain individuals are untouchable and Isak has to be one of them.
Even though Isak had injury issues of his own last term and played in a struggling team, he still managed to score an incredible 21 Premier League goals.
Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United
“Lots of stories going around, I am hearing Isak with interest at Newcastle, their fans would be concerned because he is a top player for them,” said Cascarino.

Alexander Isak’s talents
Newcastle reached Champions League football in Isak’s debut campaign at the club, if they want to get back there, then you keep the player on board.
Added to that, the whole club craves that much-wanted trophy and, once again, if Newcastle want to end that long wait, then Isak signs a new contract.

He is already one of the best forwards in the Premier League and he has the capability of being one of the best in the world in years to come.
Newcastle fans are hoping that Isak can transform into that world-class star in their colours rather than somewhere else.
