The Southampton legend, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that if Kane wanted to leave Tottenham, then he would have gone by now.
Le Tissier also suggested that breaking Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer’s record might also be playing on the 26-year-old striker’s mind.
Le Tissier said about Kane on Sky Sports News (2:26pm, July 26, 2020): “I am fairly confident that he will stay there, to be honest.
“I think if he was going to move, he is going to be 27 next month, I think he would have moved already, if he had any intentions.”
The Sky Sports pundit added: “For me, he is probably the only person since I’ve retired that I’ve looked at and thought ‘you have got a chance of reaching Alan Shearer’.
“He really has been that good and that consistent. In terms of goals and that’s something that might be playing on his mind.”

Tottenham Hotspur stay
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and is a huge figure at Tottenham.
The England international came through the Spurs academy, and it is hard to see him push for a transfer this summer.
True, Spurs will not play in the Champions League next season, but Kane loves the club and will want to get the team back in the top four of the Premier League table.
Of course, a huge offer could be tempting for Tottenham, but it would be best for the North London outfit if they do not sell Kane at any price this summer.
