Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Sadio Mane has given a positive update on his fitness after seemingly picking up a problem against Aston Villa in the cup last week.
Mane looked to be struggling at times against Villa, but he’s now assured everyone that it’s nothing to worry about.
The Senegalese forward has been training as normal this week, and he’s confirmed that he’s 100 per cent ready for the game against Manchester United this weekend.
“Yeah, it was just a knock and when I got it, it took a few minutes to settle down. It was like a dead leg, but on my hip – not my back. After the game, I put an ice pack on it and it was fine. I am completely fine and looking forward,” Mane told the club’s website after being asked about his problem against Villa.
This is exactly what every Liverpool fan will have wanted to hear.

Mane is undoubtedly one of the Reds’ most important players, and the prospect of being without him for this crucial clash is a worrying one.
Fortunately for Liverpool, Mane is fit and firing, which will be a massive boost ahead of the game against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this weekend.
The last thing Liverpool need right now are more injury problems with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez sidelined with long-term problems, meanwhile we’re still waiting to see whether or not Joel Matip will be fit to face the Red Devils on Sunday.
