Chris Sutton has stated that he is ‘amazed’ that Everton haven’t replaced Richarlison following his club-record transfer to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, as he told BBC Sport.
Tottenham paid £60 million for the 25-year-old (Sky Sports) after the Toffees survived relegation by the skin of their teeth last season.
That money has been used by those in the Goodison Park boardroom because Dwight McNeil, Neal Maupay and Amadou Onana have been notable big-money captures.

Whilst the likes of Conor Coady and James Tarkowski arrived as the experienced signings, the latter on a free from Burnley and ex-Liverpool man Coady on a loan deal from Wolves.
Nonetheless, Frank Lampard and his players are still searching for their first win of the new season ahead of their trip to Leeds on Tuesday night.
And ahead of that fixture, Sutton thinks Everton’s wait for a win will go on because he thinks Leeds will secure all three points.
“I feel Leeds will bounce back from the loss at the weekend to Brighton,” said Sutton. “They were one of my tips for relegation but they were so good when they beat Chelsea, playing with such intensity and were in the game against Brighton and I think Jesse Marsch will have them raring to bounce back.
“As for Everton, I am just amazed they never replaced Richarlison. They were unlucky with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury and then have cobbled a team together.
“Neal Maupay has come in now from Brighton and they got a good point against Brentford but I think they will lose this one.”

ANTHONY GORDON COULD BE RICHARLISON REPLACEMENT
Perhaps the replacement for Richarlison is closer to home in the form of rising star and sought-after player, Anthony Gordon.
The 21-year-old is an all-action winger, a player that likes to attack the penalty area, and perhaps riles up the crowd by the manner in which he plays, just like Richarlison.
Gordon can take a game by the scruff of the neck and his aggression without the ball is much-loved by the fans, so if he stays on Merseyside, then he can develop his game even further.
