‘I almost cried, on my knees’: Spurs fans react to what Levy’s reportedly plotting now

Tottenham Hotspur fans are cautiously excited by a new rumour coming out of Italy, involving Antonio Conte.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Spurs are interested in hiring Conte once again.

Nuno Espirito Santo is under major pressure in North London after Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat by a Manchester United outfit that shipped five goals against Liverpool eight days ago.

Even worse, the Portuguese’s outfit didn’t fashion a single shot on target against the Red Devils this past weekend.

These Tottenham players aren’t playing or running for Nuno, with the Lilywhites also bottom of the table for distance covered this season.

But according to Pedulla, chairman Daniel Levy is on board with trying once again to bring the legendary Italian coach in.

Conte was on Spurs’ radar this past summer following his exit from Inter Milan, but Levy and Fabio Paratici ultimately had to settle for Nuno.

Insane

This, if by some miracle it comes off, would be an absolutely insane appointment by Levy and Paratici, who worked with Conte at Juventus.

We’re talking about a five-time title winner and one with English football experience, after winning the Premier League at Chelsea in 2017.

Everything that these Tottenham lads aren’t doing for Nuno – playing, running, winning – would be done in spades for the 52-year-old.

He is a serial winner and one who would command instant respect.

Spurs fans are right to be cautious because, after all, it’s the hope that kills you, but even if it’s 10 percent true, it’s worth getting excited about.
