Wayne Rooney has raved about Aston Villa star Jack Grealish in The Times.
The former Manchester United and Everton star has said that he is looking forward to watching Grealish in action for England at the Euro 2020 finals this summer.
The Everton manager has added that he agrees with what former United midfielder Roy Keane has said about Grealish in the past.
Keane is a big fan of the attacking midfielder and raved about him only this week.
Rooney wrote in The Times: “But the player I’m most looking forward to watching is Jack Grealish. I agree with Roy Keane’s assessment of him: he takes the ball, he is brave with it and he is not afraid to make mistakes.
“One difference between the present England team and some of those I played for is that is contains a number of players who are willing to demand the ball and receive it in tight areas. Grealish is at the forefront of those. He has it in him to be one of the players of the tournament.”
Grealish is one of the best attacking players in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old is a brilliant number 10. In fact, Grealish is so good that even Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has publicly said that he loves playing with him.
The Villa star, who can also operate as a winger, has to be a big player for England this summer.
The Three Lions will head into the Euro 2020 finals with confidence and as among the favourites.
England have a strong team, and a creative player like Grealish will be able to unlock any defence.
Grealish scored six goals and gave 10 assists in the Premier League this past season.
