Nobody was more delighted with Leeds United on Sunday than Jesse Marsch.
The American manager masterminded a 3-0 demolition of Chelsea at Elland Road in what was arguably Leeds’ best Premier League victory over the past 12 months.
Marsch is as passionate a manager as anybody in the Premier League and his touchline celebrations were among the wholesome aspects of such a major victory for the West Yorkshire outfit.
Shaun Wright-Phillips has experience with Marsch, having played under him in Major League Soccer.
And the former Premier League winger has revealed that his animated goal celebrations are nothing new.
He said on Optus Sport when asked if he’d seen that passionate before: “Yeah I actually have! That’s something he does. He almost plays the game with you. To be honest I thought his trousers were going to rip there.”

The Elland Road outfit have now collected seven points from a possible nine in the Premier League this season.
And honestly, who can blame the Leeds boss for these sorts of celebrations?
Remember, he had the unenvious task of not only taking over a relegation-threatened team earlier this year, but replacing Marcelo Bielsa.
And considering Bielsa was the man who led Leeds back to the big time, after a 16-year absence, he was a figure of worship.
However, Marsch is certainly doing an excellent job and it’s genuinely exciting to wonder how much better United can get under his stewardship.
