Tottenham Hotspur right-back Matt Doherty has told the club’s official website that he is looking forward to watching reported Arsenal target Cody Gakpo in action for the Netherlands at the 2022 Qatar World Cup on Friday.
Gakpo, linked with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool among other clubs, is set to start for the Netherlands against Ecuador in their second Group A game at the World Cup today.
The Dutch won 2-0 against Senegal in their opening Group A match earlier this week.
PSV winger Gakpo scored for the Netherlands in the 84th minute.
TEAMtalk reported this week that Manchester United are confident of signing the 23-year-old PSV for £40 million in the January transfer window.
CM have reported that Liverpool have already made contact over signing the winger.

The Mirror have claimed interest from Arsenal and Leeds United in the youngster, who has scored nine goals and given 12 assists in 14 Eredisivie matches for PSV and has scored three goals and provided two assists in five UEFA Europa League matches so far this season.
