Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after pictures emerged of Arsene Wenger paying Liverpool a visit at the AXA Training Centre.
What’s the story?
Well, the iconic Frenchman was on Merseyside to hand out some FIFA awards to Jürgen Klopp and his players.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Thiago Alcantara were presented with trophies to mark their inclusion in the 2020 FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11.
In Klopp’s case, he was presented with a trophy for winning 2020 Best FIFA Men’s Coach.
After seeing the photos of Wenger, some Arsenal fans expressed sadness.
Why? Well, as some fans below state, the 71-year-old hasn’t been back to London Colney since his departure from Arsenal.
Why would Arsene Wenger return to Arsenal?

In our view, Wenger may not have any motivation to return to Arsenal for a visit.
The Frenchman was hounded out of the Emirates Stadium in disgraceful fashion.
Yes, results were poor, but most fans – fuelled by the performative rage of Arsenal Fan TV – took their protests against his management too far.

Additionally, the timing isn’t right. Mikel Arteta may not appreciate Wenger coming to show his face at a time where the Gunners are seriously struggling.
It wouldn’t be a happy environment for Wenger, should he come to visit London Colney or even the Emirates Stadium right now.
Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Wenger’s visit to Liverpool…
