Jose Enrique says it would ‘really hurt Arsenal’ if Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City were to sign their ‘world-class’ talent, Bukayo Saka, as he posted on Instagram.

The former Liverpool left-back added that Bukayo Saka is ‘one of the most important players’ Mikel Arteta has, after claims that Manchester City are monitoring the Arsenal youngster.

Those claims were made by journalist Ben Jacobs, who told CaughtOffside that the current Premier League champions ‘really like’ the England international.

Over the summer, Manchester City parted ways with two of their star players – Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus – who reunited with Arteta at the Emirates.

Given what the Gunners have produced this season, it’s fair to say that’s probably not going to happen again.

But what about the other way?! Well, whilst it’s probably a shot in the dark from those at the Etihad, this was Enrique’s response to those rumours about Saka/Man City, as he posted in the comments section of Sport Bible’s IG post.

“He is world-class,” said Enrique. “If they steal Saka from Arsenal that will really hurt Arsenal because he is one of the most important players they have.”

NO WAY SAKA LEAVES

At 21, Saka is the present and future of Arsenal. There’s no way the club would let him go, not even for a stupid amount of money today, tomorrow or in the next five years.

He is a big reason why they are in this current position of sitting at the top of the Premier League table and edging closer, by the week, to ending their near-20-year wait to become champions again.

The likes of Man City, Bayern Munich, and even Chelsea, can admire Saka from afar, but that’s probably as far as they would get if they tried to start negotiations for the player that could spend his whole career at Arsenal.
