Writing in his predictions column for BBC Sport, Chris Sutton has been discussing Miguel Almiron after his remarkable run of form for Newcastle United.
The Paraguayan has been on fire this term. He’s scored seven league goals already this season, performing above all expectations.
Almiron’s brilliant form has been so much sweeter because of Jack Grealish’s, now infamous, comments at the end of last season.
Sutton says that Almiron has made Grealish eat a lot of humble pie this term, and he’s backed the Paraguayan to dish up another serving this weekend.

Almiron to shut Grealish up
Sutton says that Almiron will silence Grealish again this weekend.
“United are on such a high at the moment and they have found some consistency that is helping them get these good results,” Sutton wrote
“Every time Miguel Almiron scores for United, Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish has to eat more humble pie after he joked about the Paraguayan at the end of last season – and I wouldn’t be surprised if Grealish is tucking into another slice on Sunday night.”
Playing like Almiron
Grealish once mocked Riyad Mahrez for ‘playing like Almiron’, but now, any player in the Premier League would love to be playing like the Newcastle star.
Mahrez hasn’t started this season very well himself, while Grealish is nowhere near Almiron in terms of the numbers he’s producing in the final third.
The England international could do with ‘playing like Almiron’ in the coming weeks, because at the moment he’s not one of the first names on the Manchester City teamsheet.
Grealish has been made to eat his own words, and as Sutton says, Almiron could again take a step towards silencing people like Grealish this weekend.
