According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 59, Sunday, June 2, 2019), Hull City will make a move for Luke Daniels of Brentford if David Marshall leaves, and this is encouraging for Liverpool.

A report in The Sun in late May reported of Liverpool’s interest in Hull goalkeeper Marshall.

It was reported by the British tabloid that the Reds are considering a move for the 34-year-old Scotland international goalkeeper in the summer transfer window if they lose Simon Mignolet.

Mignolet has struggled for playing time at Liverpool this season and may have offered to leave the Reds this summer, according to the report.

It seems that Hull are already planning for life beyond Marshall, with The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 59, Sunday, June 2, 2019) reporting that the Tigers are looking to bring 31-year-old goalkeeper Daniels from Championship rivals Brentford.

Marshall is out of contract at Hull this summer, while Daniels’s deal with Brentford is also coming to an end, and both will be free agents, according to The Hull Daily Mail.
