Hull City will be looking to maintain their resurgence under Marco Silva when the Tigers face Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.
To be played on Saturday 6th May 2017 at 15:00. Venue: KCOM Stadium, Hull
Odds: Hull 4/9, Draw 7/2, Sunderland 13/2
Hull City manager Marco Silva
Marco Silva has worked wonders at Hull City. Very few had expected them to avoid relegation, but following a string of impressive results they have moved out of the danger zone. But, only just.
Swansea City are breathing down their neck, and therefore the Tigers need to win their remaining games to avoid the drop.
Silva hasn’t lost a domestic home game since taking charge of Hull City, winning six of their last seven home matches.
They should be confident of picking up full three points when the already relegated Sunderland pay them a visit on Saturday.
Sunderland’s Jermain Defoe
Hull are just two points above the bottom three, and this game is massive for them. If Swansea drop points against Everton, and they win this tie, it will not only give them a breathing space, but will take them one step closer to safety.
Greg Luer and Brian Lenihan are doubtful for this tie. The likes of Will Keane, Ryan Mason, David Meyler, and Omar Elabdellaoui are all out injured.
Sunderland, on the other hand, are already relegated and as such they are playing for pride. The club needs massive rebuilding in the summer, but as of now, it is about ending the season on a positive note.
It has been a disastrous campaign for the Black Cats under David Moyes. They have lost nine of their last 10 away matches, and have failed to score in nine of their last 10 games.
Sebastian Larsson will return from suspension, but Moyes is missing a host of key players through injuries. The likes of Paddy McNair, Jan Kirchoff, Bryan Oviedo are all injured, while Darron Gibson, Lee Cattermole, Jack Rodwell, and Billy Jones are doubtful for this tie.
