With Andrew Robertson among the Hull City stars linked with a move, Kyle Walker-Peters would represent a coup as a loan signing.
Marco Silva, while Hull City manager
Hull City showed under Marco Silva that they have the quality within their squad to compete in the Premier League, even if they fell just short of survival.
Silva has since moved on, taking the Watford job, and a similar fate may await a number of the Hull players that impressed in the final months of the season, too.
Hull City’s Andrew Robertson looks dejected
The Telegraph has identified Harry Maguire, Sam Clucas and Andrew Robertson as three of their most sought-after stars and, as key performers, they will be difficult to replace.
Many relegated clubs look to the loan market as they attempt to rebuild their side and Hull would be well served to do likewise, with a number of young stars currently performing at the U20 World Cup potentially available soon.
England reached the semi-finals on Monday with a 1-0 win over Mexico and one player Hull might be tempted to look at – who could step into Robertson’s shoes – is Tottenham Hotspur’s versatile full-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

The 20-year-old can play on either side of the defence, boasts immense close control and offers a threat going forward, but he has yet to make a breakthrough at Spurs.
However, with doubts over Kyle Walker’s future – the Daily Star report Manchester City’s interest – and DeAndre Yedlin departing last year, Walker-Peters could yet have a part to play under Mauricio Pochettino this season.
Hull might be able to tempt both Tottenham and the player with the opportunity to play regular football, though, and, having started at left-back for England this summer, he would be an ideal replacement for Robertson.
