Hull City have made a second bid for Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

The Tigers have made Zohore one of their top targets this summer as they look to build a side capable of challenging for promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking next season.

Cardiff have already rejected Hull’s initial bid for Zohore, but Hull have now come back with an improved bid amid interest from Serie A side Sampdoria in the Danish international.

Zohore was one of Cardiff’s shining lights last season, scoring 12 goals in total last season with 11 of those coming in the final 17 games of the campaign.

Cardiff are keen to keep hold of Zohore and they secured him on a new deal until 2020 in April.

However, they are bracing themselves for further interest in the powerful forward with Hull refusing to give up on their pursuit of the player after tabling a second bid, while Sampdoria are also keen to lure Zohore to Italy.

Hull City boss Leonid Slutsky has made a new striker one of his top priorities since taking over at the KCOM Stadium, but it remains to be seen if he can convince Cardiff to sell their star forward.
