Hull move less likely as Muntari sings Seedorf’s praises

AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has quietened rumours that he will leave San Siro with some heartfelt praise for coach Clarence Seedorf.

There have been reports that Hull City are launching an assault for Sulley Muntari, but they may struggle to convince him to leave AC Milan after he stressed his respect for new boss Clarence Seedorf.

Pugnacious midfielder Muntari was very close to former coach Massimiliano Allegri, who was sacked after the Rossoneri’s poor first half of the Serie A season.

And many felt that the arrival of Seedorf in his first coaching role may signal the end of Muntari’s time at San Siro.

Hull City are reportedly ready to offer just under £4m to try and persuade the Diavolo to let the Ghanaian international leave, but much will depend on Muntari’s wishes and it seems he is happy with the new coach.

“Seedorf is a marvellous professional and I have played with him and against him,” Muntari said in an interview on GH’s The Game Show, reported by MilanNews.it.

“Clarence knows the club well and he will help us. I hope that everything will go well now.

“I would really like to do well in the Champions League and the Coppa Italia even if the Scudetto looks at this moment to have slipped away.

“I have to admit that it’s horrible to look at the league table and see where we are but we will work hard to climb the ladder.”
