Hull City finally announced their first summer signing yesterday in the form of Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall.
The Scot was shortly followed by a club record fee being forked out to acquire the services of the recent England international Ryan Mason, and Manchester United youngster Will Keane was announced only hours later.
The acquisitions take Hull City’s tally of fit senior players up to 17, still not enough to name a full bench, and it is for that reason that a busy Deadline Day is being predicted in East Yorkshire.

Nemanja Nikolic
Linked with the club for much of the last few weeks, Hungarian and Polish news outlets are still claiming a move to Hull City is a possibility.
The prolific striker who has 20 caps for Hungary scored 36 goals last season in all competition. A proposed move to the KCOM Stadium was said to have been agreed up until the takeover situation complicated matters.
Florian Klein
A link which first arose in Stuttgart two days ago, Florian Klein is reportedly a player Mike Phelan is interested in.
Despite lacking bodies in a number of areas, the Tigers have been linked with surprisingly few defenders recently, and Klein is one of those. An Austrian international, he is looking for a way out following Stuttgart’s relegation last season.
Victor Anichebe
Victor Anichebe is one of the most recent players to have been linked with Hull City
Former Everton forward Victor Anichebe needs a move away from West Brom. The big man featured in just 10 league games last season, scoring no goals, and his career is in serious danger of stagnating.
Hull City could benefit from having a physical presence up front, and it is something they have lacked for some time now. The Tigers and Stoke are believed to be the two clubs taking an interest in Anichebe.
Franck Tabanou
Former French youth international Franck Tabanou joined Swansea City last summer in a deal worth £3.5 million, but he is yet to play a Premier League game for the Swans.
Capable of playing at both left back and on the left side of midfield, Tabanou has emerged as a surprise late candidate to join Hull, although no reports seem particularly concrete.
Jay Rodriguez
This one looked to be dead after Jay Rodriguez scored Southampton’s equaliser at home to Middlesbrough last weekend, but apparently not.
The once-capped England man could still leave the Saints on-loan, with manager Claude Puel feeling regular game time may be best for his development. Sunderland, Hull and West Brom are all interested.
Hal Robson-Kanu

The player linked with Hull City for the longest this summer has been Hal Robson-Kanu. Following an impressive Euro 2016 campaign with Wales, a number of clubs took a look at the former Reading man.
Offers were said to be on the table, but Robson-Kanu chose to leave it late, with the player expected to make a decision today. He could well live to rue his indecision if he fails to get as good a move following the delay.
Leonardo Ulloa
There will be no shortage of clubs sniffing around Leo Ulloa, following the news that the Argentine is available for a move away from the King Power Stadium.
Swansea City pursued the player earlier in the window, so it is no surprise to see that the bookies have made them favourites, but Hull City could be another option for the former Brighton striker.
Markus Henriksen
Norway international and AZ Alkmaar star Markus Henriksen has appeared on the verge of joining Hull City a couple of times over the last week, only for the club to state that the deal wasn’t as close to completion as reports suggested.
The Dutch media are insistent that it’s a move likely to happen though. Henriksen is a player worth getting excited about for Hull City fans. He is still young, scores goals from midfield and has been likened to Frank Lampard in the way in which he plays the game.
Chris Gunter
Chris Gunter is a possible defensive option for Mike Phelan
Similar to his compatriot Hal Robson-Kanu in some respects, Chris Gunter too had an impressive Euros and has been linked with the Tigers ever since.
Reports of a move had gone very quiet recently, but murmurs have reappeared on deadline day. Sunderland, Hull and Derby have all been linked, but Reading manager Jaap Stam remains insistent the player is going nowhere.
Dale Stephens
The last of the 10 players who, to our knowledge, could join the likes of Ryan Mason and David Marshall at Hull City this summer, is Dale Stephens.
The Brighton midfielder has been linked with a move away from the south coast all summer, but only yesterday did Hull City emerge as a potential destination. Brighton have held firm despite interest from Burnley all window, and could prove a tough nut to crack on Deadline Day.
