Scott Coughlan of Wales celebrates
Hull City have taken Cardiff City youngster Scott Coughlan on trial, the Hull Daily Mail reports.
Coughlan is a Wales under-19 international, who turned 18 last month.
The goalkeeper started for Hull’s under-23 game against Millwall last night, a match which ended up being abandoned after a late melee between the two teams.
Coughlan has also represented Wales at under-17 level, and is described by Cardiff’s City website in glowing terms.
It notes: “Scott is a well-rounded, confident young goalkeeper with sound handling skills and good decision-making skills under pressure.
“His distribution is considered to be of out-field quality and Scott communicates positively with the team.”
His contract at Cardiff is set to expire in June, and Hull seemingly have first option to acquire him.
