Hull City lost their last fixture 2-0 against Rotherham United.

Steve Bruce has told the Yorkshire Post that Hull City’s defeat against Rotherham United has not changed his plans for the January transfer window.

Hull were beaten 2-0 by the Millers at the weekend, after putting in a very disappointing performance against the relegation battlers at the New York Stadium.

However, Bruce insists that now is not the time for panic, and he has suggested that he feels no pressure to buy players at the next available opportunity.

“I don’t think just because we have just lost to Rotherham that we have to be looking at January,” Bruce said.

“I have always said if there is someone out there who can improve us then I will always knock on the door. That is my job.”

The Yorkshire Post believe that if Hull do enter the market in January, it will be to sign a striker.

Abel Hernandez has scored freely this campaign, but the Tigers’ other attacking options have failed to hit the back of the net with much regularity.

Hull have accumulated 31 goals in their first 22 matches, which is the second lowest total of any of the sides in the top six.

Despite their striking struggles, Hull have still emerged as one of the favourites for promotion.

Bruce’s men are in fourth place in the Championship table, and they are only three points behind the automatic promotion spaces.
