Former Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett and ex-Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew are in the running.

Former Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett is the frontrunner for the Hull City managerial job, according to Skybet.com.

The odds of Rowett taking over Hull are as short as 1/3, making him the clear favourite for the managerial job at the KCOM Stadium.

The Englishman is without a managerial job at the moment following his departure from Championship outfit Birmingham in mid-December.

When Rowett was dismissed by the Blues, the team were seventh in the Championship table.

According to Skybet.com, Marco Silva is the second favourite to take over the Hull managerial role with odds of 4/1.

The 39-year-old was in charge of Greek club Olympiacos until the end of the 2015-16 season.

Alan Pardew is the third favourite for the Hull managerial post. The former Crystal Palace manager’s odds of succeeding Mike Phelan at the Tigers are 8/1.

The former Newcastle United manager lost his job at Premier League club Palace just before Christmas due to a run of poor results.

Hull are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with 13 points from 20 matches.
