Hull City Under-23s forward Keane Lewis-Potter has taken to Twitter with a light dig at Leeds United after the Tigers U23s ran out 2-1 winners over the Whites counterparts in Friday afternoon’s Professional Development League clash at the KCOM Stadium.

Carlos Corberan’s charges took the lead early on in the game through Oliver Casey, who prodded home from Mateusz Bogusz’s low delivery, but later on in the half, Hull teenager Lewis-Potter dispossessed Dane Burlace and calmly slotted the ball past Kamil Miazek for the leveller.

The Hull goalscorer was involved in the Tigers’ winner as Lewis-Potter beat his man down the left before finding new signing Norbert Balogh with his pass, the Hungarian’s first-time finish off the inside of the post putting the hosts ahead – a lead they would not go on to relinquish.

After the game, the 18-year-old posted the following message, rejoicing in the victory over the Elland Road side:

Hull U23s’ win was their second in a row at the KCOM Stadium in the space of just four days (Hull Live) and moves them above Leeds in the Professional Development League standings, while the Whites’ defeat is their first of the season.
