Hull are just six points above the drop zone in the Championship, severely underachieving after being labelled one of the pre-season promotion contenders.

Hull City look set for another summer squad overhaul after a disappointing, relegation-threatened campaign.
Nigel Adkins has 10 first team players with contracts set to expire, including club captain Michael Dawson who was linked with a return to Nottingham Forest in January.
Nottingham Forest boss Aitor Karanka made it clear that he’s still intent on signing 34-year-old Dawson recently, while Forest fans were divided on whether his homecoming is the answer to their problems.

Other regular starters include one-time club record signing Abel Hernandez, 35-year-old goalkeeper Allan McGregor and former Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson.
Alongside those four names, the Tigers could be set to bid farewell to Moses Odubajo, David Meyler, Adama Diomande, Max Clark, Greg Luer and Brian Lenihan.

In the ‘Players to Sell’ category, just 15% of Tigers fans involved wanted Adama Diomande to stay.
Forest target Dawson received just 16% positive votes himself, joined in the ‘Players to Sell’ category by Kamil Grosicki, James Weir, David Marshall, Kevin Stewart and David Meyler.
Dawson has started in 35 of Hull’s 38 league contests this season, playing a huge role in the Championship’s third worst defensive line.

However, Forest may remain interested in Dawson due to his leadership and experience. While academy star Joe Worrall has made strides at centre-back for the Reds, Michael Mancienne and Matt Mills (now of Barnsley) have not impressed next to him.
Aitor Karanka relied heavily on a strong defensive structure in getting Middlesbrough promoted and is already making steps to bolster Forest’s defensive ranks ahead of the new season.
However, should Forest fans see this poll by Hull supporters as a warning? The Tigers fans obviously want to see the back of the former Tottenham Hotspur defender, which maybe suggests he just cannot cut it at Championship level anymore.
